A World Bank Group Art Program Initiative

Uprooted: The Resilience Of Refugees, Displaced People and Host Communities.

“Uprooted: The Resilience of Refugees” brought together muralists, sculptors, photographers, and musicians, showcasing live performances that highlighted the incredible resilience of refugees and the support required for them to rebuild their lives.

The artists curated for the World Bank Art Curator, Marina Galvani and her team,  were either refugees themselves or hailing from regions affected by violence and war (including the MENA region, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central America). The project significantly raised awareness among development practitioners and policy decision-makers, emphasizing the strength and perseverance of refugees.
